In postnatal period immediately after the birth of a child and extending it up to six weeks. Less oftenly used are the terms puerperium or puerperal period. Lochia is postpartum vaginal normal discharge, which containing blood, mucus, and uterine tissue.
Postnatal care is also called as PNC which is the care given to the mother and her newborn baby immediately after the birth and for the first six weeks of life.

Assess their baby's general condition.
