Ventilator A ventilator (VEN-til-a-tor) is a machine which will support breathing in patients with serious conditions. These machines used in the hospitals. Ventilator get oxygen into the lungs. A few patients may need to use ventilators for long period or for rest of their lives. In these cases, the machines can be used outside of the hospitallets say at home. A ventilator doesn't treat a disease or condition. It's utilized just for life support.
