Strictureplasty
It is a kind of surgical procedure which helps to improve bowel narrowing due to scar tissue that has developed in the intestinal wall from unhealthy bowel condition. The scar tissue accumulates as an outcome of frequent damage and healing, with the scarring causing a stricture. The narrowing can pressure bowel contents into fissures and ulcers at the site, causing additional injury and narrowing.

Strictureplasties are classified into three groups: Conventional, intermediate, and complex procedures. Multiple strictureplasty can be done to the same patient.
