What is Hemorrhoidectomy?

Hemorrhoidectomy Surgical removal of hemorrhoids is known as hemorrhoidectomy. This can be done using either stapled or excisional method. In the former, a part of the hemorrhoid is taken out and the remained part is stapled to the anal canal. The former, on the other hand, involves cutting the tissues and leaving the excised wound open or stitched. Sometimes these procedures are combined. Who Should Undergo and Expected Results Hemorrhoidectomy is rendered on those diagnosed with hemorrhoids, the unhealthy or swelling of the blood vessels or veins in the anus (external) or rectum (internal) area. The condition kicks in by a chronic straining especially during bowel movements, pregnancy, obesity, constipation, and prolonged sitting on the toilet or squatting. Patients with this condition typically experience the following symptoms: the presence of blood in the stool and sensitive lump, agony and inflammation. However, it’s important to note that hemorrhoidectomy is not the major treatment for hemorrhoids. Also, the surgical removal of hemorrhoids is taken into account when the condition is seen serious or hard or when the hemorrhoids are too extensive, have already fallen, which causes significant inconvenience, reduce the patient’s mobility, and make ordinary activities extremely complicated for the patient.
